Shri Parimal D. Nathwani

Shri Parimal D. Nathwani is the Shareholder Director of the Exchange and Presently Chairman Of VSEL. Holds Professional Doctorate in Management from National Institute of Management, Mumbai. He pursued his graduation from Mumbai. He is the son of Shri Dhirajlal Nathwani. His maternal grand father was the renowned freedom fighter and the first finance minister of the then Saurashtra state.
 
Mr. Parimal Nathwani steered his life as a business man and an entrepreneur till mid nineties. He joined Reliance group in 1997. He spearheaded several prestigious projects of the group from grass-root level since then. Land acquisition for the Jamnagar Refinery, setting up of petroleum retail outlets, setting up of Jamnagar Special Economic Zone, development of cross country gas transportation pipeline network, execution of Telecom network project for erstwhile Reliance Infocomm and setting up of consumer retail chain for the group are few examples. He looks after Corporate Affairs, Human Resources and Industrial Relation matters of the Group establishments in Gujarat.

He is holding the Directorships in Gujarat Petcoke and Petroproducts P. Ltd. and Shri Dwarkadheesh Salt Works Pvt. Ltd. Shri Nathwani is a multifaceted personality. He is holding key positions in various prestigious institutions viz. Reliance Rural Development Trust (RRDT) - Chairman, Gujarat Cricket Association –Vice President, Dwarkadheesh Devasthan Samiti (DDS)->Vice-Chairman (appointed by Govt. of Gujarat), Nathdwara Temple Board- Member (appointed by Govt. of Rajasthan) and Organization of Business, Commerce and Industries (OBCI)-President. He also remained Director, Pavitra Yatradham Vikas Board formed to improve and enhance facilities at all important Temples of Gujarat. Shri Nathwani is also an Executive Member of Lions Club of Jamnagar; Member of Rotary Club of Jamnagar, Jamnagar Chamber of Commerce and Industries and Executive Committee of Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industries. Shri Nathwani’s accolades include a coveted Award for Social Service and felicitation by the then Governor of Gujarat H.E. Mr. R. K. Trivedi.

Mr. Nathwani is elected to Rajya Sabha as an independent candidate from the State of Jharkhand.

 

Shri Rajesh G. Sampat

Shri Rajesh G. Sampat is Shareholder Director of the Exchange .  Mr. Sampat has done his B.Tech (Hons.) in Mechanical Engineering from Institute of Technology, BHU, Varanasi and subsequently did his Post Graduation in Management (P.G.D.M.) from I.I.M. Bangalore.  Mr. Sampat is the Managing Director of Optima Diamond Tools Pvt. Ltd. and Optima Machinery Pvt. Ltd.  Optima is the pioneer of diamond wire concept in India which is used for granite and marble quarrying.

Shri Mukundbhai Patel

Shri Mukundbhai Patel is shareholder Director of the Exchange. He is Science Graduate from M. S. University, Vadodara.

Shri Patel is shareholder Director of Lisa Finvest Pvt. Ltd and is also partner in Monali Developers. He possesses rich experience of over 35 years in real estate business field. Shri Patel has widely traveled worldwide.

Shri Ketan B. Shah

Shri Ketan B. Shah is Trading Member Director of the Exchange.   Shri Ketan Shah is a Commerce Graduate.  He is one of the founder Members of the Exchange.  He held the position of Director of the Exchange in the past also.  He was instrumental in implementing technological development and automation in the Exchange.   He is engaged in stock market related activities since 1992.  He is holding Directorship in SDFC Securities Ltd. and Vinay Capital Ltd. 

Shri Jagdish Thakkar

SHRI JAGDISH V. THAKKAR is Director representing Trading Members of the Exchange. Shri Thakkar is a Commerce Graduate and a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He is one of the founder Members of the Exchange. He held the position of President of the Exchange in the past.  He possesses rich experience in Securities Market and he has been providing significant contribution in VSE Training & Research Institute.   He is an eminent Capital Market Analyst. He was instrumental in implementing technological development and automation in the Exchange. He pioneered the Automation at the Exchange and instrumental in its growth.  Shri Thakkar has been providing valuable inputs to various committees of the Exchange.

Shri Harish Gupta

SHRI HARISH R. GUPTA is Director representing Trading Members of the Exchange. Shri Gupta is a Commerce Graduate.  He is one of the founder Members of the Exchange. He held the position of Director of the Exchange in the past and contributed inputs to various committees also.  He was instrumental in implementing various developmental activities and he pioneered the Automation at the Exchange and instrumental in its growth.  Shri Gupta has been providing valuable inputs to various committees of the Exchange. He has rich experience of Capital Market.     

Shri Nilkanth R. Jani

Shri Nilkanth R. Jani  is Public Interest Director of the Exchange.   Shri N. R. Jani is commerce Graduate and a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.  He worked as a Executive Finance& Accounts in ABB Ltd. from 1981 to 1990 (10yrs), handled the matters related to Corporate Accounts, Consolidation and merger activities, Foreign Collaboration and Royalty arrangements, Concurrent Audit of various units of the Company and MIS, Reporting.  Shri N.R. Jani presently practicing as a Consultant since more than fifteen years handling the matters, Finance and Tax Adviser to the Corporate and Firms, Adviser to the Public Institutions, Banking and Finance Matters, Project Management and Investment Matters,  Company Law and other Allied Matters.  

Dr. Samir D. Joshi

Dr. Samir D. Joshi is Public Interest Director of the Exchange.  Dr. Joshi is post graduate and Ph.D. (Business Economics).   His current position as Associate Professor, Department of Business Economics, Faculty of Commerce, M S University, Vadodara. 

He is the recipient of  several Foreign Scholarship Awards viz. Graduate Student Award - 1991 by Department of Foreign Affairs, Canada (through Shastri Institute, New Delhi) to pursue Ph D research work at the University of Toronto, Toronto, Ontario, Canada, Faculty Research Awards - 1999-2000 by Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, Canada (through Shastri Institute, New Delhi) to pursue post-doctoral research project at Concordia University, Montreal and University of Toronto, Toronto, Ontario, Canada, Faculty Enrichment Award - 2006-2007 by External Affairs, Canada (through Shastri Institute, New Delhi) to develop and teach programme on Corporate Economy of Canada and India – affiliated with University of Toronto, Toronto, Ontario, Canada etc.

He is having teaching experience of 25 years at the undergraduate and the postgraduate levels.  Also Visiting Faculty of MHRM Programme, Faculty of Social Work, The M S University of Baroda, MBA Programme of IGNOU, and other professional part-time postgraduate programmes, UGC refresher courses for teachers.

Dr. Joshi has done Research viz.  Papers published: 13 in the Journals of high repute such as YOJANA, Indian Journal of Regional Science, Indian Journal of Labour Economics, Indian Management, Indian Journal of Canadian Studies and articles in edited Books, Papers presentation at the National and International.  He has attended various Seminars/ Conferences/ Workshop etc.  He has done Projects viz. International: Three as mentioned above National: UGC Minor Research Grant: 1999 and year long project funded by ICSSR, Ministry of HRD, New Delhi 2006-2007

CA Y K. Shukla

Shri CA Y. K. Shukla is Public Interest Director of the Exchange. Shri  Shukla graduated with distinction in Commerce (1966) and Law (1968) from M.S. University, Baroda.  He is a Fellow Member of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (1970).  He has 40 years of post qualification experience includes 26 years of teaching experience as renowned academician in Finance, taxation and accountancy.  Thousands of students coached by him in his Institution ‘Shukla Classes’ have made successful career.  He has served as a Treasurer, Secretary and Vice Chairman of Baroda Chapter of Computer Society of India.  During his illustrious career he has worked as World Bank expert in Tobacco Authority, Tanzania (East Africa) for three years.
